3G Hockey is very thrilled to be entering its 8th year of educating young hockey players in the Ottawa area the art of playing defence and goalie. 3G Hockey is also proud to say that it will continue its longstanding relationship with our camp sponsor Combat Sports (formerly, Ballistik Hockey). Combat Sports is a local company that is very involved supporting our young athletes in the Ottawa area. Combat Sports manufactures sporting equipment which includes one and two piece hockey sticks used by minor hockey, junior and NHLers. Our signature 3G/Combat Defence andGoalie programs have been a staple over these years in providing vast knowledge in both these positions. This August we will be adding a 3G/Combat Millennium Camp for players of all positions born in the millennium year.
3G Hockey wants to develop players who have the self drive to improve their game. Our position specific camp has seen many defensemen and goaltenders realize their dreams of jumping levels following completion of the 3G/Combat program. Before any player can improve they must gain a better understanding of their chosen position, 3G Hockey offers just that. With a very limited number of players in each group, the opportunity to learn is heightened.
3G Hockey’s on ice staff are dedicated in teaching and enabling players the chance to grow through the confidence they will gain in their skating, mobility, positioning and the finer technical parts of each position. It is important that goaltenders and defensemen learn to work together in understanding one another’s importance to each other. This is the main reason 3G Hockey exists.
3G Hockey fully recognizes the increasing speed and quickness the game of hockey possesses and positioning with knowledge will benefit players greatly in their efforts to achieve their hockey goals. Joining me and my seventeen years of NHL experience are an impressive group of instructors, retired NHL defensemen Luke Richardson (20 years) and Jim Kyte (14 years). The goaltenders who enrol are very fortunate to have goaltender instructor Andrew Fourney who has been with 3G for its entirety. His drills and on ice props are outstanding.
3G Hockey takes very seriously the fact that you entrust us with your young players and will continue to strive to give them the very best instruction within a solid learning environment. We look forward to seeing all of you in August. We wish everyone the best in your playoff runs.
